Default Pirate Theme Birthday Parties

I really love this theme, because it is so fun and exciting for the younger boys and girls . Tostart you can notify all your guest on the invitation of your theme and request that they come dresses as a pirate or a damsel. I love the design that this site carries it is called Personalizedpartyinvites.com. Once you have all the small details like pirate themed plates, cups, and napkins. You can start planning the games. For example if you are going to do the party at a park you can do Save the damsel. You do this by creating a small obstacle course that the boys can save one of the damsels on top of the playground area. You can also do a treasure hunt with a treasure map. Of course who ever wins gets a prize! Tell me what you think or if you have any other ideas.

Hi!!
I think I am set with other things.
I read your comment and was really helpful in planning a party.
I am confused about the game. Can you help me with the games.
I don't have any idea regarding the games to play by parents and kids.
Any suggestion will be really appreciable.
Thanks.

A pirate decorated birthday cake will be good.

To help out with pirated entertainment, select a magician dressed as a pirate who can also make balloon swords. Or chose a pirated bounce house.

Wink Awesome Idea!!!!

Pirate parties are great because they are different than the usual cake and ice cream parties. You could have a rule that everyone has to talk like a pirate or tell pirate jokes like - what is a pirate's favorate letter? Rrrrrrrr! Have fun!

Lightbulb Combine a treasure hunt with games

My thought would be to tie together a treasure hunt AND games. The kids are led (all together) from one game to the next by following a treasure map. At each stop on the map a game is played before they can move on to the next stop. Some game ideas:
  • Cannonball pop: fill a room with black balloons and tell the kids there is a clue for the next stop on the map somewhere in the room. After they look for a bit inform them that the clue may be in a balloon. Let the popping begin!
  • Gold rush: place a number of gold coins (plastic or candy) in a room and tell the kids they need to find 100 (or whatever number you like) to receive the next clue.
  • Pirate ship battle: divide a room in two (or draw out pirate ships with tape) and fill it with black balloons (cannonballs). The goal is to sink the others ship by getting the most cannonballs on their side. Say go and let the mayhem begin. When time is up, the ship with the least cannonballs wins.
The last clue can lead to a treasure chest shaped pinata.

Hope that helps!

I've seen pirate themed fake tattoos and I think any child would love that! Also, I suggest an Easter egg like hunt, but with fake gold coins--a pirate's treasure! And there has to be someone to walk the plank!

Default Pirate Party

Here are a couple fun Pirate Party games!

Treasure Toss - Buy a Treasurer Chest or make one out of boxes or a styrofoam cooler. Have the kids toss bean bags into the treasure chest from a designated point. After each round move the point further from the chest. The winner is the child that can toss the bean bag in the chest from the farthest distance.

Walk the Plank - Secure a wood plank across a toy pool using duct tape. Have the children walk across the plank. As each child reaches the end give them a treat. For added fun put plastic alligators or sharks in the pool.
