A few years ago my friend, his wife, and I planned a summer birthday party for their son and it had a nice blend of both indoor and outdoor activities--and all of each were located outdoors. We made use of some racing simulators and virtual reality game systems for the 'indoor' but 'outdoor' entertainment in conjunction with the usual physical sports activities. I thought it was an interesting and fun hybrid, and it accommodated the wide range of ages present (about 11-14). Definitely consider that party approach for the summer, which, of course, can't get here soon enough.

I love the idea of an indoor/outdoor party for kids-- especially boys, who LOVE their video games. Sports are fun --and healthier-- but probably don't account for the whole range of interests of the kids. This is a VERY cool idea.

I have a unique outdoor party idea. I have heard about FREE AT LAST PARTY BUS. It is the ultimate party bus in Nashville! Their 25 seat one of a kind bus offers a 40 inch flat screen LCD TV, DVD player, smoke machine, disco lighting, and live DJ. I think it maybe the unique idea for your party.
