Now that I've figured out the festivities for my son's graduation weekend, I'm getting ready to send the graduation party invitations. I plan to send them all online -- to our family, his friends, and some other family friends.
I'm kind of new to the world of online invitations. Does anyone have any tips for me? Do I just treat them like regular print invites as far as wording, RSVP deadline, etc? I'm really looking forward to saving some money on invitations, especially since we're having two parties. And I have been so bad about updating my address book that I don't even know if I'd have everyone's addresses anyway!

Yes, you should definitely treat them like printed invitations except you can be more creative because you can design them yourself. Include a pictures of the graduate. Most schools have you take pictures in the cap/gown ahead of time so maybe you already have one you can use. Otherwise just a nice picture will do.
With online invitations you have a lot of control over the colors you choose. I like to choose my picture first then choose the background color for the invite as something that will compliment my photo. As for the actual language on the invitation--do you have a theme or something? If you do, you can include reference to that in hte invite. Otherwise you can just say "Graduation Party for ____" and teh details of your party. Good luck! |
